The Story of Jac Wright Blog

I am lucky to be a first generation Australian. My father was born in Cairo, Egypt. He was raised in a hardworking middle-class family, born a twin, the second youngest of ten siblings. In the 1960’s at the age of 21, he set out on an adventure to Australia. He was a mechanic by trade and a dreamer at heart.

Your spirit in the ocean

Today I went out into the Hawaiian sea,
I remembered all of the memories of you & me,

I only have to breathe in deep to feel you,
I only have to be alone to be with you...

White balloon

Today as I danced around in the rain
It is as if from the heavens they were singing your name.
I closed my eyes to imagine you here
I know, right beside me you were dancing near!

And learned that for you tomorrow's a day you'd never know.
Tears streamed down my face as I began to cry,
Because there really was no understanding to me as to why.

Flying past heaven

Flying past heaven

When I was a little girl, I used to look up to the sky,
Just to catch a glimpse of those planes flying by.
I thought that you took a plane to visit heaven,
That made sense in my mind at the young sweet age of seven.
